Growing in Unity - Day 5

Hi hi, welcome back for my last day as GIU girl this week. Have you following my post since Monday? If no, you can start from Day 1 and do leave comment on each post for a chance to win 2 Itty Bitty Stamp by end of the week.

As today is the last day as GIU girl for me, i would like to share a mixed media tag for Christmas.
This is the first time i'm using Suzi Blu stamp on my artwork, and i'm pretty nervous as i never try on her stamps before.
When i took out the tag (which is the free gift from Unity order), my mind just kept thinking about this stamp.
Did i mentioned how i get this stamp from Unity? I actually got it from one of the grab bag which i purchased last year. This stamp has been sitting in my stamp folder for a year, and finally i used it for this project.
To cut the story short, I've a simple tutorial show as below.

First, i colored my tag with Tim Holtz Distress Paint: Picked Raspberry and China Blue.
The fun of distress paint is it will react to water and you can blend the color easily when it is wet! If you would like to learn more about distress paint, you can check out the video here.
This is how my tag look like after it is dry.

Next, i pick up 2 snowflake stamps from Snowflake kisses kit which i share in my yesterday's post. I stamp up both stamps randomly on my tag with Brilliance Moonlight White stamp pad.

Next, i stamp up the Boy Exclusive stamp on a white card stock, colored it and cut out the image as below.

Last, I stamp a Christmas sentiment from Everything Christmas sentiment kit on a piece of card stock. I roll up the head and bottom of the card stock to make it look like a scroll.
Then,  i add in establishments like paper flowers and ribbon to complete my tag.

Tell your a good news, Unity is having a Suzi Blu Sales this weekend, grab all the Suzi Blu stamps now, it's 50% off this week!

Do you like my tag today?
Kindly share your thought with me, i will pick a lucky person tomorrow and he/she will have a chance to get 2 Itty Bitty stamp for free!
Thanks for reading my post and leaving comments throughout these 5 days, do keep an eye tomorrow as i will announce the winner by tomorrow.
Happy Halloween!

Growing in Unity - Day 4

Hi friends, welcome back for my day 4 GIU sharing!
Just a quick recap if you have not visit my blog last few days, kindly please check out my sharing from Day 1 here. I am sharing my projects/ artworks using Unity Stamp from Monday till Friday this week.
Do remember to leave me a comment on each post for a chance to win 2 Itty Bitty stamps as i will pick a lucky person from all the comments in these 5 days.

This is the card i want to share today, using Unity Snowflake Kisses kit.
Do you love snowflake as i do? To be honest, I never have a chance to enjoy the snowing season as it's summer throughout the year in my country.
I just hope that there is one day, i can have a chance to celebrate Christmas in a Winter Wonderland. that sound really good. :)

Below is the simple tutorial for making my card, you can always apply different colors and try with your own design later.

First, cut out 4 pieces of small square card stock, then colored the card stock with Distress Paint. (I'm using Broken China & Evergreen Bough)
Sorry that my camera cannot really capture the 2 colors actually is different here. :(

Next, choose 2 snowflakes stamps from the kit, and emboss the snowflakes image with white emboss powder on the square cards. This is how it look like after emboss. You may want to try with other color of your choice.

Then, using the same snowflakes, i'm stamp on another white card stock with blue stamp pad to create a nice background, and i ink up the sentiment from the same kit too.

Last, stick up your square card pieces with 3D adhesive foam to create a 3D 'tiles' card.
I've add in the twine bow as decoration. You may add in some bling stone as decoration too.

The beautiful snowflake Christmas card is ready, do you like it?

That's all for my sharing today, do remember to come back tomorrow for my last day of GIU sharing.
Stay tune... ...

This is the art work that i would like to share with your today.
One of the reason I LOVE Unity Stamp is because of the wide range of stamps they offered.
From cute images to vintage stamps, they have bundles of designs available for you to choose.
Not forgetting that they have stamps for seasons, festivals, they also have stamps for your special event too!
One of the range that i love the most is they do have stamps for creating background pattern, which allows you to apply easily on your card and canvas projects.

For this card, the front image I'm using Hello Gorgeous from Itty Bitty, and the background stamp I'm using is Chicken Wire Background.
Below is the simple instruction how i create my background with this stamp.

First, i blending 3 distress colors on a white card. If you would like to follow my sample, i'm using Peacock Feather, Antique Linen & Peeled Paint from Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad.

Then, i sprayed some mist on the card and blow dry it before i stamp the chicken wire background image randomly.
Last, you can assemble your color card stock pieces, colored image as per your preference.

By using the same Chicken Wire Background stamp, i have another canvas project to share with your.
This is a special wedding gift for my friend and i seriously love the stamp so much as it create a fantastic background on canvas too.

Beside using the chicken wire background stamp i also using Vintage Handwritten to be part of the background image, both stamps can create a beautiful background for any artworks.

This is how the canvas look like, hope my friend like it.

Attached with the canvas, I've make another greeting card for them, both sentiments are from Tying The Knot kit.

That's all for today sharing, if you love the projects that i share, kindly leave me a comment for a chance to win 2 Itty Bitty Stamps.
Do remember to come back tomorrow for my next project ya, have a nice day!

Growing in Unity - Day 2

Hi friends, welcome back for my GIU girl day two sharing.
Just to keep you update that i will be the GIU girl this week and I will share my projects throughout the week from Monday to Friday.
If you have miss my day one sharing, kindly please click here and do leave me a comment for a chance to win 2 Itty Bitty stamps. I will pick a lucky winner on Saturday!

For today sharing, i will share with your a 6 x 6 Christmas card!
As Christmas just less than 9 weeks away from now, it's time we have to start to make a lot of Christmas cards.

I getting the idea while i singing carols in my scrappy room, and i really want to share these wonderful kits from Unity Stamp with you -- Silent Night kit & First Noel kit.
What i love about these 2 kits are the sentiments in the kit are those Christmas Carols that we sung every Christmas! Awesome!

To create this card, i stamp the sentiments on a white card stock, then i cut out each sentiments in cloud shape and i apply some distress ink on the border.
The background card stock is from "Authentique - Yuletide Paper". I know this paper going to match my card perfectly because this is the music score for the carol "Oh Christmas Tree". Perfect match!

I add in some ribbon and a bling buckle and some pearl as decoration. The card might be simple to make, but it just reminds me the carols that we love to sing during Christmas!

This is the closer look for my card.
Do you want to start practice your carols today? Why not?

Do leave me a comment today, and remember to come back tomorrow for another project i gonna share with you.
That's all for today, have a nice day!

Growing in Unity - Day 1

Hi friends! Today i'm so happy and excited to inform that i'm the 'Growing in Unity' girl this week!
I will be sharing my projects and artworks using Unity stamps from today till Friday!
If you are new to Unity Stamp, kindly please spend some time to check out their website/ blog as Unity offered bundles of beautiful stamps for sales.

Back to my GIU day 1 project, know that some of you started to prepare Christmas Cards/ Christmas Presents, I would like to share my hand made Christmas coaster by using Unity Stamps. This is very simple and quick, all you need is: recycle card stock, foam (optional), glue, marker pen/color pencil, water proof coating, and Unity Stamps.

Below's picture are the recycle card stock and foam, i die cut the circle with my big shot machine.

The process of making the coaster is not difficult, all you need to do is stamp the image on the white card stock, die cut it, and colored the image. After you have done your coloring, you need to glue few foam/ card stock together to ensure the coaster have some thickness. For the lever of thickness, it depends on individual preference. For mine coaster, each coaster is about 3 mm thick.

This is my first set of coaster.
I'm using the Roly Poly Winter Joy and Warm Winter Comforts from Unity Itty Bitty. I colored all the coasters with Fine Color Markers and i do add some Stickles as touch up to the coaster.

My another set for the coaster is using Birdies Hugs Mistletoe Itty Bitty and Christmas Eve Chowder kit. After the image being stick on the coaster, please remember to apply a top coat/ water proof coating on your coaster to protect your images.

Don't you think this is so simple yet it's very cute Christmas presents?
That's all for today sharing, hope you enjoy my project today. I shall see you by tomorrow for my day 2 sharing.
Please leave me a comment or thought as i will pick a lucky person from all the comments left in the 5 days, he/she will receive 2 Itty Bitty stamps of their choice!

My next card is using the the 4 sentiments from the kit.
I colored the 4 cards with my Heidi Swapp Color Shine Spray and I'm inspired by Unity this month Be Inspired Challenge color theme.
I created this card right after chatting with my scrappy buddy over what's app, and i just have the inspiration after i pull down my phone. Amazing idea just pump in suddenly. :)
This card actually reminds me of the little notes that my friends used to leave on my desk when i'm off for season holiday, and i'm glad that i manage to "catch" the idea that pop up in my mind suddenly.

This is Unity this month Be Inspired Challenge theme, if you would like to know more, kindly please check out the details here.

Special present for a special someone

Hi friends, today i would like to share a birthday present that i've made for my friend back to end July. I know this sound slightly late, but sharing beautiful stuff never too late right?

For this card, i'm using Unity Stamp Claire Fashionista stamp. She is just gorgeous and i decided to gave her a very vibrant hair color, that is purple color! ( i always wish that i could have such bright and vibrant color on my hair. :) )
Since it's a birthday card, i've used the sentiment from Sabrina Fashionista, i do create cards using this kit before, kindly please click here and here if you would like to have a look.

Don't you think she is so beautiful?

To make her look prettier, i add in some Gold color stickles on her hair bow, belt, handbag and on her dress as well!

Check out the shinning high heels, a must have item for all the ladies!

Beside the card, i do make a special mixed media canvas for the birthday girl.
She is a cheerful and happy go lucky person, and i really like the way she smile and laugh. She love travel and marathon, that is the purpose i choose these 2 photos to create this canvas for her.

The supply that used in the canvas are from: Heidi Swapp color shine spray: Citron & Primrose. The wood embellishment from Kaisecraft, paper flowers from Prima Marketing, and the die cut embellishment and alphabet are from local bookstore supply.

Hope you enjoy my post today, will share more projects later.

KOM Oct/13 - Oh Christmas Tree #2

Hi friends, I'm back again to share my new creation for the Christmas card using Unity KOM 10/13.
To be honest, i just can't resist to keep doing new cards with this kit, all the stamps in the kit just too beautiful, have you get yours?

Okay, back to the card that i've created, if you follow my post, this is the 4th card that I've created using the same KOM.
Check out the big jar stamp, can you see how big the jar stamp is?
The size of my card is 4.1 x 5.9 inch, and you can notice that the Jar is so huge!
The jar is beautifully decorate with ribbon and holy leaves, and to make it as a nice Christmas present, i filled up the empty jar with candies!
I just love the jar when it's full with colorful candies, i think you love it too!

The 5th card is inspired by the color theme that i've planned for my church Christmas Decoration this year.
I never experience to have a purple + silver Christmas theme before, and i really like the combination for this color theme.

And here comes my 6th Christmas card created by the same KOM.
Again, I'm inspired by the Unity Be Inspired Challenge sketch challenge this month. Cards can be creates beautifully by just following the sketch as show.
I do love the color theme as well, and it inspired me to apply the color theme on my card too!

That's all for my cards today, if you would like to join in the Unity be inspired Challenge - The Magic of Christmas, kindly link up your post here.
Below picture is this month color challenge, sketch challenge and layout challenge!

Do stay tune for my up coming post, i do have more cards to share with your by using the same KOM.
